Salt and Mustard Oil:

Salt is considered effective for cleaning the tongue. Mix a pinch of salt in a few drops of mustard oil and apply it on the tongue. Then remove the accumulated dirt by gently rubbing the tongue with the back of the toothbrush.

Curd:

Curd is also a good option for cleaning the tongue. It helps in removing dirt and white layers effectively. Yoghurt contains probiotics and lactic acid. Take a spoonful of curd, apply it on the tongue and clean it with the back of a toothbrush.

Baking soda and lemon juice:

Baking soda is effective in cleaning the dirt from the tongue. Mix a little baking soda with lemon juice to make a paste. Massage this paste on the tongue with the help of your fingers. Wash with warm water after some time. This will clean the tongue thoroughly.

Turmeric

is another home remedy to clean the tongue. To make a paste, add a little lemon juice to turmeric powder. Apply this paste on the tongue and massage with your fingers. Wash with warm water after some time.
