Hinduism has a tradition of lighting a monolithic lamp, but in the US state of California, a monolithic lamp has been burning for the last 122 years. According to scientists, the filament of a bulb cannot last for more than 1 year, it gets burnt within a year, but the filament of this bulb has been working for 122 years. A bulb is installed at a fire station in Livermore, California (bulb in California fire station). It is made by a company called Shelby Electronic, but the most surprising thing is that it has been burning for the last 122 years. The bulb, named Centennial, was first planted in 1901 and has been burning ever since. In 1901, this bulb was of 60 watts. In 2023, the light of this bulb has remained only 4 watts.

It had to be shut down in 1937

Fire station staff interviewed in 2001 to mark the 100th anniversary of the ball said that the bulb was first switched off in 1937 to replace a power line and that the bulb continued to burn after the wire was replaced.

In 2013, it was considered to be closed again.

There was a time in 2013 when people felt that the bulb had gone bad. But later it was found that this bulb is not a fuse. At the same time, the 76-year-old wire installed there has been damaged. After fixing the wire, if this bulb was installed, then the bulb started burning again. This bulb is a matter of curiosity around the world. People come from far and wide to see this bulb.
