In the coming times, the need to wear glasses may end. A new eye medicine has brought about a revolution. Mumbai-based company Antod Pharmaceuticals has launched Preview Eye Drops which treat presbyopia. Presbyopia is a condition in which people have difficulty focusing on close objects. Around 109 to 180 crore people around the world suffer from this problem. Presbyopia usually starts after the age of 40 and increases till the age of 60.

Antode Pharmaceuticals has received final approval from the Drug Controller General of India (DCGI). Earlier, the Subject Expert Committee (SEC) of the Central Drugs Standard Control Organization (CDSCO) had also recommended this product. Preview is the first eye medicine in India that can reduce the need for reading glasses for people suffering from presbyopia. This is a common age-related vision problem that affects people over 40.

Cutting-edge technology

Pressview eye drops feature an advanced Dynamic Buffer Technology, which allows them to adapt to the pH of tears rapidly, ensuring consistent efficacy and safety for long-term use. Since these drops may be used for years, this feature is particularly important.

It can significantly affect

Nikhil K Masurkar, CEO, Antod Pharmaceuticals,

highlighted the significance of this approval and said that PressView results from years of dedicated research and development. PressView is not just a product; it is a solution that stands to improve the lives of millions of people, giving them more visual freedom.

How much will it cost?

From the first week of October, the prescription-based eye medicine will be available in pharmacies for Rs 350. This medicine is for the treatment of mild to moderate presbyopia in persons aged 40 to 55 years.
