News: Know weather updates in Delhi By IMD!

IMD Weather update:  Mercury took a big dip in Delhi-NCR on Wednesday. After which the maximum temperature fell to 33.7 degrees Celsius, which was recorded five degrees less than normal. At the same time, the minimum temperature was recorded at 21 degrees Celsius, which was 4 degrees Celsius less than normal. Winds also continued to blow in Delhi, so people felt almost no heat. Now the first week of May is also predicted to pass in a similar manner.

According to the Meteorological Department (IMD), due to snowfall in the hilly states, there is no possibility of a heat wave in Delhi for the entire next week. Talking about the last 24 hours, there was light to moderate rain and snowfall in Jammu and Kashmir, Gilgit-Baltistan, Muzaffarabad, and Himachal Pradesh. Light to moderate rain and snowfall occurred in North-East India (NE).

If we talk about Delhi, however, the maximum temperature will start increasing from Thursday i.e. today, May 2, then it may cross 40 degrees Celsius by May 4. 

Delhi weather rainfall update: When will it rain in Delhi?

A fresh western disturbance is likely to approach the western Himalayan region from the night of 3 May. According to the Meteorological Department, there may be rain in Delhi in the next few days. The sky will remain cloudy. On May 2 and 3, the maximum temperature can be 37 to 38 degrees and the minimum temperature can be 20 to 22 degrees. Today on Thursday, the sky will be clear, and strong winds can blow at a speed of 35 to 45 km per hour during the day. In such a situation, there will be relief from heat even today.

According to IMD, there may be light rain with strong thunderstorms in Delhi on the weekend i.e. Saturday. Although the sky will be cloudy from May 3 to May 6, there may be drizzle. In such a situation, the people of Delhi will continue to get relief for about a week. There are fewer chances of rain on May 3 but light rain has been predicted on May 4. This rain will happen during night time.

Weather condition of the country

According to 'Skymet Weather', there may be light rain and sporadic snowfall in Gilgit-Baltistan, Muzaffarabad, Ladakh, Jammu Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh, and Uttarakhand. Light to moderate rain and snowfall is possible in Arunachal Pradesh. Light rain may occur in some places in Northeast India. Light sporadic rain may occur in Kerala and southern Tamil Nadu. Heatwave conditions may occur at many places in Gangetic West Bengal and some places in Sub-Himalayan West Bengal, Bihar Saurashtra, and Kutch. Heatwave conditions may occur in Jharkhand, Kerala, Konkan, and parts of Goa and Rayalaseema.
