NEET PG 2024 fees reduced, know how much the exam fee will have to be paid now!

The National Board of Examination in Medical Sciences (NBEMS) has announced a reduction in the examination fee for the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test for Postgraduate (NEET PG 2024). The examination fee has been reduced by ₹750 for all categories. Now general and OBC category candidates will have to pay an examination fee of Rs 3,500. Similarly, candidates from SC, ST and PWD categories will have to pay ₹2,500 as an examination fee.

According to the official notice released by NBEMS, the decision to reduce the application fee for NEET PG is aimed to benefit the lakhs of candidates appearing for the exam. The revised fee structure will be effective from January 1, 2024. The statement also mentioned that the reduced fee is now less than what the candidates paid in 2013.

How much was the exam fee?

In 2013, the application fee for NEET PG for General and OBC categories was ₹3,750, which was increased to ₹4,250 in 2021. With the latest amendment, the fee has been reduced to ₹3,500 from January 1, 2024. For SC, ST, and PWD candidates, the application fee in 2013 was ₹2,750, which was increased to ₹3,250 in 2021. Now it has been reduced to ₹2,500.

It is important to note that the NEET PG 2024 exam is scheduled to be held on July 7, 2024, and the exam date has already been announced. The registration process is expected to start soon.

NEET UG 2024:

As per the schedule released by the National Testing Agency (NTA), the registration process for NEET UG 2024 is expected to start in February 2024. NEET UG 2024 exam is scheduled to be held on May 5, 2024, at specified centres across the country. A detailed registration schedule and application procedures will be released soon.
