Ingredients of Masoor Dal Vada
1 cup masoor dal
2 green chillies
1/2 tsp black pepper
1 onion chopped
4 tbsp mustard oil
4 garlic
1-inch ginger
1 tsp cumin powder
salt as needed
2 tbsp coriander leaves

How to make Masoor Dal Vada
Step 1- Soak the masoor dal
Wash masoor dal 3-4 times and soak it in water with a utensil. Let it soak for about an hour.

Step 2- Make a paste of lentils
Drain the water and put the masoor dal in a blender. Add garlic buds, ginger, green chillies and a little water. Blend well to make a thick and smooth dal paste.

Step 3- Chop the onion
Now cut the onion into thin and long slices.


Step 4- Season the dal mixture
Take out the dal paste in a bowl. Add salt, black pepper powder, cumin powder, and chopped coriander and mix well. Also, add chopped onions.

Step 5- Fry the Dal Vada
Heat mustard oil in a nonstick pan. Now take out the dal mixture with a spoon and put it in the pan. Press it gently, but don't flatten it too much. The vada should still retain its round shape. Fry all the vadas till they become light golden brown and crispy from both sides.

Step 6- Ready to serve
Your delicious masoor dal vadas are now ready to be served.
