Makar Sankranti 2022: Prepare Chikki with dry fruits, not peanuts, health will also benefit

Along with this, many dishes made of jaggery are made on the day of Makar Sankranti. One of which is peanut and jaggery chikki. Which most people know how to make. In such a situation, today we have brought a recipe to make Chikki a little different. Which is very easy and gets ready quickly.


Like peanut chikki, dry fruit chikki does not require many ingredients. With the help of just two to three ingredients, the chikki is ready. For this, you will need jaggery along with your favorite dry fruits. In which you can add almonds, cashews. Pistachios, poppy seeds, walnut kernels, raisins, etc. can be taken.


First, cut your favorite dry fruits into small pieces. Now fry them lightly in a pan and take them out on a plate. Dry roast these dry fruits without the help of ghee or oil. So the taste will be better. Put jaggery in small pieces in a pan. Mix water and ghee together and put it on the gas. Keep in mind that the flame of the gas should be slow, otherwise the jaggery will burn.


When the jaggery melts well, bubbles will start rising from it. Now cook this jaggery for four to five minutes. Keep in mind that the flame of the gas should be kept low continuously. Now take some water in a vessel and drop a drop of jaggery in it. If the jaggery becomes like a solid ball, then turn off the gas.

Now mix all the chopped dry fruits in this jaggery. Mix well and add cardamom powder. Put ghee on a plate and mix all the jaggery and dry fruits in it and turn it on the plate. When it cools down, cut it into small pieces with a knife.
