In India, both the central and state governments implement many schemes for the welfare of their citizens. Many of these schemes are specifically for women, providing direct financial benefits to them. Let us find out which state of the country provides the most important economic benefits to women.

Himachal Pradesh – Leader in Financial Assistance:

Himachal Pradesh, currently ruled by the Congress Party, under the leadership of Chief Minister Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu, has recently announced a significant gift for the women of the state. Himachal Pradesh Government has launched the “Indira Gandhi Priyadarshini Sukh Samridhi Nidhi Yojana” for women. Under this scheme, women will be given financial assistance of ₹ 1500 every month directly in their account. Comparatively, this is the highest amount provided by any state for the financial empowerment of women in India.

Other states offering financial aid:

Madhya Pradesh: Under Ladli Behan Yojana, women in Madhya Pradesh get financial assistance of ₹ 1000 per month.

Delhi: The Delhi government recently announced Mukhyamantri Mahila Samman Yojana, in which eligible women will be provided ₹1000 every month.

Chhattisgarh: The state government runs the Mahtari Vandana Yojana, which provides monthly financial assistance of ₹1000 to eligible women.

Tamil Nadu: M.K. The government led by Stalin in Tamil Nadu provides ₹1000 per month to women under a similar financial assistance scheme.

If seen from this perspective, the Himachal Pradesh government is in first place in the matter of providing economic benefits to women.
