With the increasing use of digital technology in every sphere of life, elections have also become hi-tech. In this Lok Sabha election, about 10 mobile apps will be used for tasks ranging from the inclusion of names in the voter list to election management, which will be helpful for the voters as well as the candidates.
Six apps are for voters, the most important of which is the Voter Helpline App. With this app, people above 18 years of age can apply online for inclusion of names in the voter list sitting at home. Can download an e-voter identity card.
Complaints about any problem can also be made from the app itself. Latest information related to elections can also be found. Therefore this app is most useful for voters. Through the Suvidha Candidate App, candidates can apply online for election meetings, rallies, etc.
Enable-ECI
Disabled voters can use this app. Through this, they can apply online to get their name registered in the voter list. Apart from this, wheel chair can be booked on the day of polling by giving an advance request.
Voter helpline
People can use it for all election-related services ranging from inclusion of names in the voter list. Through this app, people can easily check their names in the voter list. If the name is not included or is deleted, the online application can be made through this app to include the name in the voter list.
Voter slips can be prepared and downloaded from this app on the day of voting. Voters can take its printout and take it with them to the polling station. You can also get information about your polling station through this app.
Know your candidate
Through this app, any person or voter can get information about the names, education, criminal records, etc. of the candidates contesting from their parliamentary constituency.
E-learning apps is also effective
This app is being used to make voters aware. The objective will be to increase voting.
C-Vigil App
Through this app, people can inform the Election Commission about violations of the election code of conduct and illegal activities by giving complaints. If anything related to a violation of the election code of conduct is seen, its video or photo can also be uploaded.
Voter turn out
This app is activated at the time of counting of votes. Information related to vote counting can be obtained through this app.
Three apps will be available for election management
Officials will be able to use mobile apps like ENCORE, ESMS (Election Seizure Management System), and Observer App for election management.
