A recent study has found that by making slight changes in your daily habits, you can increase your lifespan by up to 5.5 years. The study, published in the BMJ Evidence-Based Medicine journal, analyzed data from more than 350,000 people for 13 years. Researchers took information about the genetics, socio-economic status, education, and disease history of these people. Additionally, each person was given a 'polygenetic score', which sums up the factors that influence their lifespan based on their genes. Apart from this, they were also given a score based on their lifestyle habits.

The study found that people who were genetically at risk of dying at an early age and adopted a healthy lifestyle, their lifespan increased by 5.5 years more than those who were genetically less at risk but had an unhealthy lifestyle.
