PCOD means polycystic ovarian disease (PCOD), also known as polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS), poly means a lot of cysts. So how can this problem be cured with the help of Ayurveda, let us know by the experts?

PCOD is a very common condition affecting around 27% of women in the age group of 12-45 years. Females have two ovaries. In this, every month an egg is released which goes to the uterus, and if the egg comes out every month, then everything will be fine, but if it does not come out, then small lumps start forming in its place. This is not the only reason for PCOD, when the male hormone 'testosterone' increases in the body of women, even then this problem occurs. Due to this, the eggs stop coming out of the ovary. This condition or condition is called 'Anovulation' i.e. lack of ovulation (the process of egg release).
