JEE Main 2024 Session 2 exam starts tomorrow, April 4. On the first day, Paper 1 for BE/B.Tech will be conducted. The registered candidates have been issued their examination city slips and admit cards. The exam will be conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA) at designated centres across the country. Candidates who have not yet downloaded their admit card can do so by visiting the official website jeemain.nta.ac.in.

Session 2 examination will run from April 4 to April 12. Paper 2 exam will be held on 12th April. NTA has also allowed candidates who wish to improve their scores from Session 1 to appear for the Session 2 exam. In such cases, the merit will be decided on the basis of higher marks obtained between the two sessions.

It is mandatory for all the candidates appearing in the examination to carry their JEE Main 2024 Session 2 hall ticket and a photo identity proof such as an Aadhar Card, PAN Card or Voter ID card to the examination centre. Additionally, two passport-size photographs will also have to be carried. Without these documents, entry into the examination centre will not be allowed. Candidates can also carry transparent ballpoint pens and transparent water bottles.

Candidates should note that certain items are strictly prohibited inside the examination hall, which includes pencil boxes, handbags, purses, papers, stationery, study materials and food items. Also, electronic devices like mobile phones, earphones, microphones, pagers, calculators, dockets, slide rules, log tables, cameras, tape recorders and any other electronic devices are not allowed inside the examination centre.

Paper 1 examination will be conducted in two shifts. The first shift will run from 9:00 am to 12:00 noon, while the second shift will be conducted from 3:00 pm to 6:00 pm. For the morning shift, candidates must reach the examination centre by 7:30 am, and for the evening shift, they must reach the exam centre by 2:00 pm.
