JP Nadda On Covid Vaccine: Union Health Minister JP Nadda said in the Rajya Sabha on December 10 that a study by the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) has conclusively proved that the Covid vaccine does not increase the risk of sudden death among young adults in India, but on the contrary, it has reduced the chances of it. He gave this information to the Upper House in a written reply to a question.
JP Nadda said that due to the coronavirus epidemic, there is an increased risk of sudden death due to hospitalization, family history of sudden death and some lifestyle behaviors. Nadda said that the Indian Council of Medical Research has informed that a study was conducted in 47 hospitals in 19 states and union territories during May-August last year.
A total of 729 cases of sudden death and 2,916 containment cases were included in this analysis. It was observed that any dose of coronavirus vaccine reduced the risk of unexplained accidental death. Two doses of the Covid-19 vaccine significantly reduced the chances of such deaths.
Minister of State for Health Anupriya Patel said in a written reply that a particular batch of Metronidazole 400 mg and Paracetamol 500 mg tablets manufactured by Hindustan Antibiotics Limited and Karnataka Antibiotic and Pharmaceuticals Limited respectively were found to be of 'non-standard quality' during testing. Standard quality).
Patel said as per information received from the Department of Pharmaceuticals, both Hindustan Antibiotics Ltd and Karnataka Antibiotics and Pharmaceuticals Ltd have withdrawn "No Standard" (NSQ) stocks and replaced them with new stocks.
