Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) has extended the last date to apply for fresh admission for the January 2024 academic session. Candidates can register for January 2024 session programs in online distance learning and online mode till March 20, 2024. Applications should be submitted through the official website ignouadmission.samarth.edu.in.

After admission, candidates can also apply for government scholarships on the national scholarship portal Scholars.gov.in. According to an official post from IGNOU, the registration date for fresh admission in ODL/online mode for all programs offered in the January 2024 session has been extended to March 20, 2024. Candidates can apply for admission till the specified last date. Let us know the documents required for registration.

How to register?

Visit the official website ignou.ac.in.

Click on Register Online, then click on the link for New Admission.

Register by entering the details here and fill the form.

Select the program and submit the form.

Documents required for registration:

Scanned copy of passport-size photograph (less than 100 KB)

Scanned copy of signature (less than 100 KB)

Scanned copy of educational documents (less than 200 KB)

Scanned copy of caste certificate (less than 200 KB) less than KB)

Applicants must ensure that they upload the documents in the specified format during the application process. The last date for registration, which was initially scheduled to close by February 29, was extended to March 10 and has now been extended by an additional 10 days.
