Astrologer Pandit Rakesh Jha explained that Holika Dahan must follow three key rules as per the scriptures:

1. It should take place on Purnima Tithi (Full Moon date).
2. The Bhadra period should have ended.
3. It should be performed at night.

Since Purnima Tithi is present on the night of March 13 and Bhadra ends at 10:47 PM, Holika Dahan will be conducted on March 13 in Uttaraphalguni Nakshatra.

Holi Celebrations on March 15

The festival of Holi, symbolizing love, harmony, and brotherhood, will be celebrated on March 15, 2025, falling on Chaitra Krishna Pratipada.

• On March 14, devotees will perform bath-charity rituals and offer sindoor (vermilion) to their Kuldevta (family deity).
• On March 15, Holi will be observed with two auspicious constellations (nakshatras): Uttaraphalguni Nakshatra (until 7:46 AM) and Hasta Nakshatra (for the rest of the day).
