What is heat stress syndrome?

According to the Mayo Clinic, it is a serious condition caused by overheating of the body. This happens when the body becomes unable to expel heat. In this, the body temperature increases dangerously. In such a situation, if immediate treatment is not received, it can also be fatal.

Symptoms of heat illnesses

  • unconsciousness
  • muscle cramps
  • Nausea
  • Headache
  • sweating a lot
  • weakness
  • Confusion
  • increased breathing and heartbeat
  • Vomit
  • difficulty getting up
  • increased body temperature

Give first aid like this

If any of the symptoms mentioned above are seen in the child, give him first aid immediately. For this, first of all, bring the child in the shade, loosen the clothes, make the child lie down, and put a pillow under the feet. Then to increase the airflow, fan it, apply it with a wet cloth, and also give it liquid to drink now and then. If the child is unconscious, do not feed or drink anything.

These measures are necessary for protection

To prevent heat stress syndrome, keep your body hydrated, keep in mind that whenever you leave the house, cover your head and mouth with a cloth. Also, keep in mind that children should not play in the sun, and do not lock the child in the car even for a short time.
