Getting tasty and nutritious things in the morning for breakfast keeps energy for the whole day. Today we are going to tell you one such recipe for porridge, which is amazing. It is said that if a recipe of millets i.e. coarse grains is found in breakfast, then it becomes icing on the cake.
So today's recipe is jowar porridge, which not only takes less time to prepare but also increases the immunity of the body many folds by eating it. Porridge is usually made from ground wheat. But jowar is an immunity booster, rich in proteins. It is very healthy for heart and diabetes patients.
Recipe to make jowar porridge
- Soak half a cup of the whole jowar in water for four hours.
Put 1 cup of water and a pinch of salt in a pressure cooker and cook it on medium flame till 4 to 5 whistles.
After opening the cooker, check whether it has become soft or not.
Now pour one and a half cups of milk into a pan.
- Will put boiled jowar in it. Also, add cardamom powder.
Cook it until the milk boils two to three times.
- Will put jaggery or sugar in it for sweetness.
Before serving, add pomegranate seeds, mango pieces, and almonds on top. Its dish will become more tasty and healthy.
