According to media reports, a 30-year-old man in Karnataka suffered a stroke due to getting a head massage at a salon. In such a situation, this question must be arising in your mind too that can pressing the head also cause a brain stroke? The answer is yes. Pressing and moving at the wrong place can cause a blockage in the nerves of the brain, which can lead to a stroke.

Died a few hours after massage

It is being told that this person working in housekeeping felt severe pain in the neck during the massage, but initially he ignored it. A few hours after the massage, the condition worsened when he felt difficulty in speaking and weakness in the left side. 

Cracking the neck caused a blood vessel to burst

When the young man was taken to the hospital, the doctors said that the stroke was caused by the bursting of the carotid artery due to forceful twisting of the neck. For this, he was given anticoagulant treatment and kept in the ICU for two months. In this type of stroke, the blood circulation in the brain stops. There is also a risk of death due to this. 

Getting a hair wash at a salon can also be fatal

A 50-year-old woman from Hyderabad suffered a stroke while getting a hair wash at a salon in November 2022. She experienced dizziness, nausea and vomiting while washing her hair , which was later diagnosed as a stroke. Such incidents are often referred to as salon strokes or beauty parlor strokes, which can be caused by sudden and forceful neck movements, which reduce blood circulation to the brain.
