Ration cards are issued to eligible individuals, and after receiving them, the cardholder can purchase ration items at concessional rates or even free of cost from government-owned shops in their locality. This includes provisions like wheat, rice and other essential commodities. If you have a ration card then you can avail these benefits. Eligible persons can get ration cards as follows:

Step 1:

If you are eligible for the scheme but do not have a ration card then you can apply for it.

Visit the official website of the Food Supplies and Consumer Affairs Department of your state.

Find the link for the Ration Card Application on the website and click on it.

Step 2:

You will be directed to a form that needs to be filled, known as the application form.

Provide your details in the form, like applicant name, Aadhaar number, village/panchayat name, etc.

Step 3:

After filling out the form, you have to upload the documents specified by the officials.

These documents may include an Aadhaar card, residence proof, photographs and other required items.

Step 4:

Review all the information and click on the Submit button.

You will receive a slip, and it is necessary to print it and keep it as it is necessary for further procedures.

After verification, if all the details are correct then your ration card will be issued.
