Central Government Health Scheme (CGHS) is a health scheme provided by the Central Government exclusively for its employees, pensioners, and their dependents. Under this scheme, government employees and pensioners are entitled to cashless treatment in hospitals, eliminating the need to pay hospital bills or purchase expensive medicines out of pocket. How to avail benefits:

To avail of CGHS services, eligible persons must have a CGHS card. Benefits under the scheme can be availed by using this card. CGHS cards can be obtained by filling out a form and submitting the required documents on the official CGHS website. Health cards can be obtained both offline and online.

How to apply:

Go to https://bhartkosh.gov.in/

Click on “Non-Registered User”.

Select 'Individual' in the depositor's category.

Click on the search icon in the form and select “Health and Family Welfare”.

Type “Pensioner” in the form and click on search. Then select "Receipt from Pensioner (Lady Hardinge Medical College)".

Select "021721 PO (LHMC & Hospital) New Delhi". - Fill the requested information and proceed.

Your health card will be available online. You can also choose to print it or apply for home delivery.
