How does the feature work

The company has informed you that if you do not want to find a particular person in your Featured Memories, you can block or show them faceless.

If you choose to block a person, they will not appear in Memories. This includes group photos as well.

If you want a person to be less visible to you, you will not find memories about them.

How to use the feature

First, open the Google Photos app.

After this, tap on your profile photo or initial at the top right and then on Photo Settings.

Now tap on Select Face in Show Less or Blocked.

Now choose the photo you want to hide.

Now tap on Done.

How to hide photos from Memories Carousel

The company said that the new feature is working well, but it does not always work right. Therefore, Google Photos allows users to hide photos based on a particular date if they cannot choose faces. By turning it on, you can block photos from the Memories Carousel to hide them based on date.

First, open the Google Photos app.

Now at the top, tap on your profile photo or initial and then on Photo Settings.

After this, tap on Preferences, Memories, and then Hide Date.

Now add the dates you want to hide.

Finally, tap on Hide.
