The vibrant festival of Ganesh Chaturthi is coming, which is going to be celebrated on Tuesday, September 19. Preparations are in full swing for this joyous occasion, which marks the birth of Lord Ganesha and is celebrated with great enthusiasm throughout the country with a unique charm in Maharashtra.

This year, the 10-day Hindu festival will run from September 19 to September 28. There will be holidays on different days in different states, there will be holidays in many banks across the country.

Bank Holiday Schedule for Ganesh Chaturthi:

- September 18, 19, and 20: Banks will remain closed on these dates in some cities, resulting in a three-day bank holiday in various states. On September 18, a holiday will be observed in Bengaluru, Chennai, Hyderabad, and Telangana to commemorate Varasiddhi Vinayak Vrat/Vinayak Chaturthi.

- September 19: Banks will remain closed in cities like Ahmedabad, Belapur, Bhubaneswar, Mumbai, Nagpur, and Panaji on the occasion of Ganesh Chaturthi/Samvatsari (Chaturthi Paksha).

- 20 September: There will be a holiday in Bhubaneswar and Panaji on the second day of Ganesh Chaturthi.

The Reserve Bank of India's holiday calendar lists 12 official holidays in September (which may vary by state). Including Sundays and alternate Saturdays, there are a total of 16 bank holidays.
