Ingredients of Rice Flour and Mawa Modak


2 cups rice flour

1 tsp ghee

1 cup raw grated coconut

2 tsp jaggery

1 tbsp finely chopped cashew nuts- almonds

5 green cardamoms grounded

Rice Flour and Mawa Modak Recipe

Heat a pan and add grated coconut and jaggery to it. Keep stirring this mixture for about 10 minutes. Add cashews, almonds, and ground cardamom and let it cook on a good flame. When the jaggery melts and coats the coconut well and the mixture becomes thick, take the pan off the gas and let it cool. This Modak stuffing is ready.

To make Modak, boil water and ghee in a pan. Add little salt and rice flour to it and mix well. Now cover the pan with a vessel and leave it to cook. When the rice mixture becomes half cooked, put some ghee in a steel bowl and knead the mixture in it.
