Citrus fruits
Citrus and citrus fruits have a better shelf life as compared to other fruits, it is best to keep them open in a cool and dry place. Keeping them in the fridge can reduce the water content in them to some extent, but helps in maintaining freshness for up to a month.

Banana
Bananas rot very easily as the ripening process is rapid and most start rotting after a maximum of 4-5 days, leaving a mushy texture and blackening of the outer skin. Well, to increase the shelf life, cover the banana bunches with cling film and store them in a dry place in the fridge, this will increase the shelf life of the bananas. If you do not want to eat bananas immediately, then select only green bananas.

Watermelon
Maintaining the freshness of watermelon after cutting it may seem like a difficult task, but by storing it properly, you can enjoy it for at least 4-7 days. After cutting a portion, cover the remaining watermelon with cling film and store it in an airtight container, keep it in the fridge or freezer to extend its shelf life.

Apple
Apples stay fresh for a week or less depending on how you store them. The easiest way is to choose apples without spots and store them in the refrigerator, this will not only help in retaining their freshness but also increase the shelf life by up to 15 days.
