For recruitment for police constable posts, a 10th pass should apply!

West Bengal Police Recruitment Board has announced mass recruitment for the post of Police Constable. Applications have been invited for a total of more than 11,000 constable posts. The application process for these posts has started from March 7 and candidates can apply till April 5, 2024. After applying, candidates can also make corrections in their application form from April 8 to April 14, 2024. The application has to be submitted through the official website prb.wb.gov.in.

It is noteworthy that the Police Recruitment Board has advertised a total of 11,749 vacant posts for constables. Of these, 8,212 posts are reserved for male candidates and 3,537 posts are reserved for female candidates. The initial number of posts was 10,255, which has been increased to 11,749. The Recruitment Board has again issued a notification regarding the number of posts.

Eligibility to Apply:

Candidates who have passed the Secondary Examination (10th) from the West Bengal Board of Secondary Education are eligible to apply for these posts. The age of the candidate should be between 18 years to 30 years. However, candidates belonging to the Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe category are given a relaxation of 5 years in the maximum age limit. OBC category applicants are given a relaxation of 3 years from the upper age limit.
