Now Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis has made a big announcement for the farmers while presenting the first budget of the Eknath Shinde government for the financial year 2023-24 in the state assembly. Finance Minister Devendra Fadnavis has now announced in the budget speech to bring a crop insurance scheme for farmers at Re 1.
During this, Devendra Fadnavis informed that this step will put an additional burden of Rs 3,312 crore on the Maharashtra government. Devendra Fadnavis informed that in the earlier crop insurance scheme, farmers had to pay two percent of the crop insurance premium. Now this premium amount will be paid by the government.
During this, he told that there is also a proposal to increase the scope of health insurance scheme 'Mahatma Phule Jan Arogya Yojana' from Rs 1.5 lakh to Rs 5 lakh.
