With the announcement of the dates, people have started preparing to vote, so it is advisable for you to update your voter card. A voter card is used as address proof in many places, so if your old address is registered on it then you can easily update it.

Easy process of old address:

You have to visit the National Voters' Service Portal, voters.eci.gov.in. Once there, a page with options for correction and change of residence will appear.

After clicking on this page, you will have to log in with your mobile number and password.

Once you enter the OTP, you will be asked to fill out Form 8. You have to enter your EPIC number under the Self and Family option.

In Form 8 you have to fill in various details including constituency, Aadhaar number, mobile number, email and new address.

You will also have to upload address proof like an electricity bill or contract to update the new address.

After submitting the form, you will receive a reference number on your phone and email. In a few days, you can download your digital voter card, which will show the new address.
