Due to corona, there is an increased risk of kidney disease among the victims, read - the big thing revealed in the study

The profound effect of this deadly virus on the health of people who are affected by the coronavirus (covid-19) is coming to the fore. Even after recovering from the infection, many problems are emerging. Now the risk of kidney disease is being found in the victims due to this virus. According to a new study, a decline in kidney function has been found as a long-term effect of the corona. Such a problem has also been found in many victims who are mildly infected with corona.

According to researchers from Washington University School of Medicine in the US, people infected with corona are at higher risk of kidney damage. This can increase the risk of kidney disease. The results of the study have been published in the American Society of Nephrology. Ziad al-Ali, an assistant professor at the University of Washington, said, 'Our results suggest that doctors treating corona victims should also consider their kidney function. This can save thousands of people from this menace.

Researchers have made this conclusion based on analysis of data of more than 17 lakh healthy and corona infected adults from March 1, 2020, to March 15, 2021. The study also looked at the data of more than one lakh 51 thousand women. "The highest risk of kidney function decline has been found among those admitted to the ICU," Ziad said.
