Delhi government provides many facilities to women, one of which is free travel in buses. This means that women travelling in Delhi Transport Corporation (DTC) buses will not have to pay any fare; They can travel free anywhere in Delhi. Delhi government has been providing this free travel facility to women for many years. However, there is a rule associated with it, if not followed, a fine of Rs 200 can be imposed in lieu of free travel.

Women need to get tickets:

Although the Delhi government has made bus travel free for women, it does not mean that they will not have to get any ticket after boarding the bus. All women have to do is go to the conductor and get a ticket, which is a pink slip. This slip helps DTC to track how many women have travelled in buses in a month or a day, thus maintaining the data.

What is the fine?

Now let's talk about the fine. As we mentioned, it is necessary for women to get this pink slip or ticket. If a woman does not do this, then the DTC employee checking the ticket can impose a fine of up to Rs 200 on her. Therefore, every woman should keep this in mind while travelling by bus.

Another scheme for women:

Delhi government has announced another scheme for women, in which it has been said that all the women of Delhi will be given Rs 1,000 every month. This scheme is called Chief Minister Mahila Samman Yojana. Delhi government has said that this scheme will be implemented after the Lok Sabha elections.
