A Simple Deadline You Can’t Miss—Unlock These Benefits!

The Employees' Provident Fund Organization (EPFO) has extended the deadline for linking Aadhaar with the Universal Account Number (UAN) and bank accounts for private-sector employees. The new deadline is December 15, offering employees another opportunity after many missed the previous cut-off of November 30.

Why This Matters

Activating your UAN is essential to access benefits under the Employment Linked Incentive (ELI) scheme. EPFO has mandated employers to ensure that new employees' UANs and bank details are updated within the extended deadline.

What Happens If You Don't Link?

Failing to link Aadhaar with your UAN means losing out on Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) perks under the scheme. For now, only employees hired in the current financial year need to update their details, but this requirement will eventually extend to older employees.

How to Activate Your UAN

  1. Visit the EPFO Portal
  2. Go to EPFO’s website and click on the “Activate UAN” link under "Important Links."
  3. Enter Your Details
  4. Provide your UAN, Aadhaar number, name, date of birth, and mobile number linked to Aadhaar.
  5. Verify Mobile Number
  6. Ensure the mobile number is linked with Aadhaar, then agree to Aadhaar OTP verification.
  7. Get OTP
  8. Click on “Get Verification PIN” to receive the OTP on your Aadhaar-linked mobile number.
  9. Complete Activation
  10. Enter the OTP to complete the process. Once done, a password will be sent to your registered mobile number for future login.

Don’t Delay!

Link your Aadhaar and activate your UAN now to avoid missing out on valuable benefits!
