CSIR UGC NET Result released, know how many candidates passed!

National Testing Agency (NTA) has released the results of the Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR) University Grants Commission (UGC) National Eligibility Test (NET) December 2023 examination. The results along with cutoff marks have been made available on the official website csirhrdg.res.in. More than 1 lakh candidates appeared in the examination and more than 6900 candidates passed successfully.

A total of 6988 candidates have been declared successful. Of these, 1424 candidates are eligible for Junior Research Fellowship (JRF-NET), which also makes them eligible for the post of Assistant Professor. Only 23 candidates have qualified for only JRF exam, while 34 candidates are eligible for JRF, making them eligible for both Lectureship and Assistant Professor posts.

General, EWS and OBC candidates require a minimum of 33% marks to qualify for both fellowship and lectureship. PWD, SC and ST candidates were required to score at least 25% marks for JRF, Assistant Professor and Lectureship.

The examination was conducted from December 26 to December 28, 2023, at 356 examination centres across the country. A total of 2,19,146 candidates had applied for the exam, out of which 1,75,355 candidates appeared.

CSIR UGC NET exam is conducted to determine eligibility for a Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) and Lectureship. The examination is computer-based and conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA) at the national level in both Hindi and English languages.
