Colon Cancer: It is said that the abundant consumption of many oils made from sunflower, canola, corn and grape seeds increases the risk of inflammation in the body.
Cancer Causing Oils: Certain types of cooking oil are increasing the risk of colon cancer in American youth. This has come out in a study. Anyway, it is said that the abundant consumption of many oils made from sunflower, canola, corn and grape seeds increases the risk of inflammation in the body. In this study, conclusions have been drawn after a study conducted on 80 patients suffering from colon cancer. The study found that these patients had high levels of bioactive lipids in their tumors. Such lipids develop due to the breakdown of seed oil molecules in the body. These lipids are fatal to the body in two ways. One, they increase gas-irritation (inflammation) in the stomach and secondly, they weaken the body's ability to fight against such tumors.
Although such evidence may not have been found yet, it is believed that ultraprocessed food can prove to be more harmful. This is because it contains seed oil, fat, sugar and other chemicals that increase inflammation in the digestive process.
However, leading organizations related to cancer and heart disease in the US have so far said that there is no evidence that suggests that moderate level seed oil intake establishes any risk of developing colon cancer or any such tumor. But apart from this, such studies are also coming out in recent times which show that excessive consumption of such edible oil or seed oil increases the risk of inflammation in the body. As a result, the risk of heart diseases and diabetes increases.
The University of South Florida team has done this new study. It was published Tuesday in the Journal Gut. This conclusion was drawn after studying the tumors of about 80 people aged 30-85 years. Of these, 90 percent of the cases were found in people who were less than 50 years of age. Half of the patients had stage 3 or 4 cancer. One-third had stage two cancer.
According to the study, the average American is consuming about 100 pounds of seed oil a year, which is a thousand times more than in the 1950s. In the post-World War II era in America, the trend of seed oil became very popular due to advanced techniques in the field of farming.
