It should not be drunk with or after a heavy meal. Expert Surbhi Pareek says that people who have a problem with acid reflux or heartburn should drink coconut water on an empty stomach. However, there are many other benefits of drinking this healthy drink on an empty stomach.

Drinking it early in the morning boosts metabolism, the benefit of which is weight loss. If the stomach is healthy then the body is protected from many diseases or health problems. If you want, you can drink it in the afternoon also on the advice of experts. However, there is constant confusion on whether it should be drunk in the evening or not.

IMD has also said that the threat of heatwaves will trouble people a lot in the coming times. In such a situation, it is very important to consume things like coconut water. However, people who are suffering from kidney-related health problems should not drink coconut water. It contains a high amount of potassium and due to its excess in the body, it starts accumulating in the kidneys. In such a situation, the risk of kidney damage increases.

To get double the benefits of this drink, you can soak some things in it and eat it. Soak chia seeds and nuts in this water overnight and eat it on an empty stomach the next morning. This is a healthy breakfast which can boost immunity and make the skin healthy.

If you want, you can make a healthy drink of coconut water and lemon. Mix the juice of half a lemon, one spoon of honey and juice of 4 to 5 mint leaves in a glass and add it to coconut water. This healthy drink of summer will protect you from heatstroke and there will be no shortage of water in the body.
