The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) today announced the release of Class 12 exam results. In order to prevent the unhealthy competition among the students that often occurs, the board has decided to do away with the merit list and division-wise marks. According to CBSE officials, they will no longer give first, second, or third-division status to students based on their performance.

Nevertheless, CBSE has decided to award merit certificates to the top 0.1 percent of students securing the highest marks in various subjects. The pass percentage of this year's exams has remained in line with last year's, standing steady at 87.33 percent. Trivandrum has secured the highest pass percentage of 99.91 percent.

It is pertinent to note that this year's exams were available for 16,96,770 students who appeared for the exam from February 15 to April 5, 2023. To check their results, students can visit any one of the official websites 'results.cbse.nic.in', 'cbseresults.nic.in', and 'digilocker.gov.in'. Then students will be asked to enter their Roll Number, Admit Card ID, and School Number, after which they have to click on the submit button. Thereafter, the Result will appear on their screen and can be downloaded by the students for their convenience.
