Arbi Ki Tikki Recipe: Make delicious Arbi Ki Tikki in the evening snack!


Ingredients of Arbi ki Tikki

Refined oil - 2 cups 

as required Rock salt

Ajwain - 2 tsp


Buckwheat - 8 tbsp

Ginger paste - 1/2 tsp

Arbi - 1/2 kg

Green Coriander - 1 handful chopped

Green chili - 2



First, wash the arbi in water. Now take a pressure cooker and add enough water to it. Close the cooker with a lid and cook on a medium flame for 2-3 whistles. After this, in a blender jar, add green chilies and make a fine paste,

After the arbi comes to a boil, take it out in a big bowl. Peel it and then mash it like a potato. You can also use a wooden spoon to mash it. After this, in a bowl containing mashed arbi, add rock salt, carom seeds, green chili paste, coriander leaves, ginger paste, and buckwheat flour and mix well.

Now take out a little part from the mixture of arbi and make round balls. You have to make Tikki by keeping it between the palms. Repeat this with the entire mixture. Now put a deep-bottomed wok on medium heat and heat refined oil in it. When the oil becomes hot, put raw arbi tikkis inside it.

Fry them till they become golden-brown in color. Once done, take out the fried tikkis on a plate covered with absorbent paper. Serve them with a dip of your choice to enjoy.
