The government has extended the deadline for updating free Aadhaar details from the current March 14 to June 14, 2024. This means that people across the country now have an additional 4 months to complete the process. According to a post by UIDAI on social media, UIDAI has extended the free online document upload facility for Aadhaar holders till June 14, 2024. This free service is available only on myAadhaar portal. UIDAI is urging people whose Aadhaar is more than 10 years old and has never been updated to re-verify all their information. This will allow service to be provided more effectively and authentication to be more successful.

Why and where is Aadhaar required:

Aadhaar card has become an essential document for all financial transactions, like opening a bank account, availing government schemes, purchasing a SIM card, or buying a house. Not updating your Aadhar card on time can lead to many obstacles. Many times people are not able to avail the benefits of various schemes due to wrong information.
