Hair adds to our beauty. But due to today's lifestyle, food disturbances and pollution etc., problems related to hair start happening. Some common problems include hair fall, dandruff, thinning of hair, baldness, premature greying etc. 

If you want a head full of healthy hair and at the same time want your hair to remain black for a long time, then you should start paying attention to what we eat or drink and how much exercise we do because food and drink And the effect of exercise is visible not only on our health but also on the skin and hair. 

That's why today we are telling you about some yogasanas which can be done easily at home to make your hair beautiful. Yoga Master, Spiritual Guru and Lifestyle Coach, Grand Master Akshar Ji is telling us about these exercises.

Yoga asanas

The following asanas in yoga help in nourishing the head by promoting blood circulation in the body. By practising these techniques regularly we can improve the quality of hair as well as enjoy better overall health.

Halasan

  • To do this, lie down on your back. 
  • To raise the legs, press the palms on the floor and drop them behind the head.
  • According to the level of comfort, you can support the back with your palms.
  • Stay in the posture for some time.

Headstand

  • Start with Vajrasana.
  • Keep the elbows on the ground and interlock the palms.
  • The palms and elbows should form a triangle on the floor.
  • Place the head on the floor in front of the palms.
  • Support the back of the head with the palms.
  • Walk the toes towards the head until the back is straight.
  • Raise one leg first and slowly raise the other leg.
  • Join the feet and lower the toes.
  • Remain in this position for as long as you are comfortable.

Caution

Words of advice People with back pain, neck pain, spondylitis and blood pressure should not practice this asana.

Yoga pose

Practice the following postures in the exact order given for the result. Hold each pose for 10-15 minutes and be consistent in your practice for 4-5 weeks to see the benefits of the pose.

Balayam Mudra

The ancient Indian practice of nail-rubbing is known as Balayam in the context of Yoga. The compound word Balayam is made up of two words – 'Bal' meaning child and 'Exercise' meaning exercise. So basically Balaam or nail rubbing is a hair exercise.

How to do-

  • Make half a fist by rotating the fingers inward.
  • Take out the thumb.
  • Keeping the palms facing each other, let the fingernails touch each other.
  • Now rub the nails of one hand together while moving up and down in a fast motion.
  • Remember, only the fingernails have to be rubbed, not the thumb.

Also adopting a healthy lifestyle, which consists of consuming a balanced diet including fruits and vegetables daily, exercising regularly, and staying hydrated makes it easier to have beautiful hair. A healthy scalp promotes hair growth and requires proper nutrition, sleep, vitamins, minerals etc. 

Improper eating habits, insufficient sleep, eating too much processed food and not eating enough leafy vegetables can lead to many skin and hair-related problems. ,

The following can be practised to prevent hair thinning, grey hair and hair fall. When done regularly, these asanas and postures can help in the restoration and retention of hair colour naturally.
