Ingredients for Matar Halwa
Green Peas - 3 cups
Milk - 1/2 liter
Mawa - 1/2 cup
Dry fruits - 2 tbsp
Pistachio slices - 1 tsp
Cardamom powder - 1/2 tsp
Saffron threads - 1/2 pinch
Desi ghee - 3 tsp
Coconut Bura – 3 tsp
sugar - as per taste

Matar Halwa Recipe
To make Matar Halwa, first, take peas and wash them thoroughly with water. Frozen peas can also be used for this, but halwa made from fresh peas gives a different taste. Now put peas in a mixie and add 2-3 teaspoons of milk and grind them coarsely. Keep in mind that peas should not be made into a paste. After this, put a mixture of milk and peas in a pan and fry it on a low flame.

After roasting the peas for 1 minute, add desi ghee to it and then cook while stirring until the water of the peas dries up. Now add grated coconut, dry fruits (cashews, pistachios, almonds, nuts, raisins, walnuts), and add milk. After cooking the pudding for some time, add mawa and sugar as per taste and mix it. Then add saffron threads and cardamom powder to the pudding and cook while stirring. When the halwa starts giving a wet aroma and is completely cooked, then turn off the gas. Tasty Matar Halwa is ready, garnish it with dry fruits and serve.
