UPSC i.e. Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) conducts various examinations for recruitment to the posts of high officials in the Central Government and its various departments.

The Civil Services Examination of UPSC is in three parts. These consist of Prelims Exam, Mains Exam, and Interview.

There are three categories of the UPSC exam – All India Civil Services, Group A Civil Services, and Group B Civil Services, etc.

UPSC exams include CSE, IFS, IES, NDA/NA, CDS, IIS, IRS, CAPF AC, Geo-Scientist, CMS, IRMS, etc. Candidates who wish to apply for the Union Public Service Commission exam must have a graduation degree.

In many examinations, final-year students of graduation can also apply. To get an appointment on many posts, it is also necessary to have a degree in the field related to that post. For example, candidates applying for engineering service must have an engineering degree.
