Aadhaar- One of the most important proofs of identity for the residents of India. It is a 12-digit Individual Authentication Number that is issued by the Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI). UIDAI represents the Government of India, which can be accessed online and downloaded by residents across the country.
Bal Aadhaar is blue in color with Aadhaar numbers of children below five years of age. It is considered invalid when the child turns five. To make it valid, when the parents of the child need to update the details along with the biometrics. But now, in a recent tweet published by UIDAI officials, it has been said that after updating the biometrics of a child, there will be no change in his/her Aadhaar.
Steps to Apply for Child Aadhaar:
Step 1: Open the website of UIDAI by typing the URL of uidai.gov.in.
Step 2: Now select the Aadhaar Card Registration icon to apply.
Step 3: Next, the parent has to fill in the child's name, the parent or guardian's phone number, and the child's biometric information of the parent and guardian.
Step 4: Fill in details like residential address, locality, state, and others.
Step 5: Submit all the details in the proper manner.
Step 6: Go to the Appointment Option for Registration of an Aadhaar Card.
Step 7: Find the nearest enrollment center for an appointment.
Step 8: Reach the center with the required documents like identity proof, address proof, relation proof, date of birth, and reference number.
Step 9: After the process is over, the Aadhaar center will provide an acknowledgment number to track the process.
