Ingredients for making tomato kadhi
Tomato – 7-8
Gram flour – 1/4 cup
Cumin - 1/2 tsp
Coriander powder - 1 tsp
Turmeric - 1/4 tsp
Rai - 1/4 tsp
Green coriander - 3 tbsp
Ginger - 1/2 tsp
Asafoetida - 2 pinches
Oil – 3 tbsp
salt - as per taste

Tomato Kadhi Recipe
To make tomato kadhi, first, wash the tomatoes and cut them into big pieces. After this, put the tomatoes in a mixie jar and grind them and prepare the paste. Now take out the paste in a vessel. Now put 3 tbsp oil in a pan and heat it on medium flame. When the oil becomes hot, add mustard seeds, asafoetida, and cumin seeds and splutter them. After a few seconds add turmeric, finely chopped pieces of ginger, coriander powder, and curry leaves and fry.

When the spices are well roasted, add the prepared tomato paste and let it cook after mixing with a big spoon. Meanwhile, put gram flour in a utensil and whisk it by adding a little water so that the lumps of gram flour are completely removed. After this, mix one to one and a half cups of water in a gram flour solution and dilute the solution.


When the solution becomes thin, put it in the pan and mix it well with tomato paste. After cooking for 1 minute, add water according to the amount of curry you want to make. After this, cook the curry on low flame. The curry has to be cooked until it becomes thick. During this, keep stirring the curry with the help of a spoon. After this turn off the gas. Tasty tomato curry is ready. Garnish it with green coriander leaves and serve.
