Snacks Corner: Make Crispy Methi Puri for Tea-Time, here's the recipe...


2 cups wheat flour

1/4 cup semolina

1 tsp black pepper powder

1/4 tsp ajwain

a pinch of asafoetida

2 tbsp ghee

salt to taste

3/4 cup fenugreek leaves (finely chopped)


Fenugreek seeds

water as required

Oil (for frying)

Mix all the ingredients except oil for frying.

Knead hard by adding water as required.

Take a thick dough and roll out small puris.

Take the puris with a fork.


Heat oil in a pan and fry these puris on low flame till they become crispy and golden.

When it cools down, store it in an airtight container.

Note: If desired, roast these puris in the oven at 180 degrees Celsius. But you can bake for 15 minutes.
