Scientists warn: if this is not done then new corona variants will keep coming, at present no one can be considered safe

The rapidly increasing outbreak of Covid-19 in India, including many countries of the world, is a matter of concern. At the same time, the way scientists have alerted about the nature and infectiousness of new variants of corona in recent studies, it is certainly intimidating. Variants such as XE are being reported in studies to be 10 percent more infective than Omicron BA.2 (Stealth Omicron) to date. Experts say that the way there is a jump in the cases of corona infection globally, it proves that both these highly infectious variants are active, from which special precautions need to be taken to prevent them. In the last 24 hours, more than 2400 new cases of infection have been recorded in India. Experts say that do not make the mistake of taking corona infection lightly in any situation, especially considering it as influenza can be quite serious. It is far more deadly and challenging than influenza. Let us understand this in detail further.

Corona is more deadly than influenza
In a study conducted in Spain, scientists found that adults hospitalized due to COVID-19 have a significantly higher risk of complications and death than those without influenza. The finding, being presented at this year's European Congress of Clinical Microbiology and Infectious Diseases (ECCMID) in Lisbon, Portugal, to be held April 23-26, also suggests that Covid-19 causes longer hospital stays than influenza. The need for hospitalization and intensive care can be twice as high.

What do experts say?
Inmaculada López Montesino, head of Spain-based Del Mar Hospital and author of the study, says – Our findings show that Kovid-19 is much more lethal than influenza. The way some reports have been claiming that over time the corona virus is becoming less effective like influenza, at present this study has found the opposite. Any carelessness regarding the prevention of Kovid can be overwhelming, with this all people must get both doses of the vaccine. It will help you in avoiding serious cases.

Everyone will be vaccinated only then will get protection from corona
In studies, vaccination is being described as the most essential to protect against the risk of serious illness and death of corona. In this regard, Johns Hopkins scientist Amita Gupta says that vaccine inequality remains a big issue in India. Amit Gupta, head of the department of infectious diseases and professor of medicine at the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine, says no one is safe from Covid until everyone in the world is vaccinated.

Need for special vigilance regarding Covid-19
Professor Amit Gupta says vaccine disparity continues to be a major problem globally with India. For example, in the continent of Africa, less than 20 percent of the population is currently vaccinated. As immunity declines, new COVID variants emerge. This problem will remain until the worldwide vaccination campaign is run very fast. Only certain countries are not fully vaccinated against viruses like corona. Along with vaccination, everyone individually needs to keep using the measures to prevent from Kovid. To stop the epidemic, it is very important to vaccinate fully and strictly follow the preventive measures.
