1. Choose Your Hair Products Carefully

If your scalp is getting flaky, dry and sensitive or the itching has increased a lot, then your hair care products could be one of the reasons. If the scalp is not cleaned properly, product buildup occurs and in such a situation, bad chemicals like sulfate, silicone, paraben etc. steal the natural oil and moisture of the scalp. Use natural products on your scalp. Touch as few products to the scalp as possible. You may use products on your hair length, but you shouldn't touch them on your scalp.

If you have, Zinc Pyrithione (ZPT) may prove to be good for treating dandruff and itching.

2. Take care of diet

A major reason for your scalp problems can also be a fault in the diet. When vitamin B and zinc are less than the body, then it starts showing an effect on your skin and scalp. Avoid eating fried and fatty food as much as possible. Apart from this, you must drink 8 glasses of water a day.

3. Regularly Cleanse the Scalp

If you wash your scalp only once a week, then this could be the reason. Dandruff and scalp fungus also come from dirt and cause many problems for your scalp. Even if your scalp is dry, you should shampoo at least twice a week. Also, it is bad for your scalp even if you shampoo every day.

4. Invest in a Scalp Scrub

If you have more scalp problems then exfoliation is also necessary. Just as we scrub to detox the skin, scalp scrub is also necessary. This will remove the dead skin from your scalp and rehydrate it. Yes, it doesn't have to be too much.

5. Choose Good Oil for the Scalp

If the scalp is dry and flaky, then this can prove to be very important. You should air dry your hair and apply good oil to your scalp so that it hydrates. You don't need to champ by applying a lot of oil, but you need to take some care. Things like rosemary oil, coconut oil, aloe vera, apple cider vinegar, etc. are considered good for scalp hydration. Choose the one which suits you.

6. Don't Forget the Scalp Massage

If your scalp is dry, itchy, and there are small pimples in it, then scalp massage can prove to be very helpful to improve blood circulation. This will remove the dirt and dead skin accumulated on the scalp. In this case, the hair-care products you are using on the scalp will be more effective.

7. Don't itch too much

If your scalp is itching a lot, a fungal infection has happened, and there is a rash, then you should stop scratching the scalp excessively. This can cause irritation, bleeding, infection etc. Reduce the itching of the scalp, it will aggravate the problem.

8. Talk to a Dermatologist

If home remedies are not working for you, talk to a dermatologist without delay. A doctor will help solve your scalp problems.

Generally, you need to follow the right hair-care routine for scalp problems. If you keep your shampoo and hair cleaning schedule right, then it will not go bad. Keep in mind that you need to keep your scalp hydrated.
