Recipe- Rajma masala is everyone's favorite, if made like this the taste will increase!


Rajma Masala or Rajma Curry is a delicious, vegetarian Indian curry from North India. Red beans cooked in rich onion tomato masala. Today we have brought its recipe for you.



250 g red kidney beans

½ cup onion paste

3 medium-sized tomatoes pureed

1 tsp ginger garlic

salt to taste

2 tbsp cooking oil or ghee

1 tsp red chili powder

½ tsp turmeric powder

1 tsp coriander powder

½ tsp cumin powder

½ tsp garam masala powder

2 tbsp coriander leaves


- Start the Instant Pot on sauté mode. Add oil and cumin seeds.

- Add onion paste and ginger and garlic. Stir and fry till the onion paste turns light brown, for about 2 minutes.

Add spice powders one by one.

First of all add turmeric powder, red chili powder, salt, and coriander powder and mix it well.


Now add crushed tomatoes to it and cook onion tomato masala for 3-4 minutes. Cook it stirring continuously till the masala starts leaving oil.

After this, put the soaked kidney beans in the instant pot and stir them to coat them with the spices.

Pour 4 cups of water and close the lid of the instant pot.

Set the Instant Pot to pressure cook mode and set the timer to 20 minutes.

- Once the pressure cooking cycle is complete, let it stand for 5 minutes and then release the pressure by moving the valve to the venting position.

- When the pressure is completely released, open the lid and add chopped coriander or coriander and mix and serve with steamed rice or rot
