-1-1 cup yellow-soaked moong dal, sugar, and mawa (mashed)
-3/4 cup ghee
-1-1 tbsp pistachios and almonds (thinly sliced)
-half tsp cardamom powder
Drain the water from the lentils and grind them coarsely in a mixer.
Heat ghee in a nonstick pan and fry the dal on low flame while stirring continuously.
When the dal starts leaving the ghee, then turn off the flame.
In the same pan add mawa and fry till it becomes golden.
Turn off the flame.
In another pan, add water, saffron, and sugar to make a string syrup.
Add roasted mawa, moong dal, cardamom powder, and chopped half pistachios-almonds and cook on low flame.
Fry while stirring continuously till the water dries up.
Switch off the flame when the mixture dries up.
Spread the mixture on a greased plate.
Garnish with chopped almonds and pistachios on top.
After cooling, cut it into the desired shape and serve.
