Recipe- Make traditional Punjabi-style mustard greens like this, read the easy recipe!


Sarson ka saag is a traditional Punjabi recipe made during winter. Mustard greens are cooked together with other greens and then a tempering of tomatoes, ginger, and garlic is applied. Today we are going to tell you how you can make it at home.


400 grams of mustard greens

400 grams spinach

150 grams bathua

2-3 green chilies

salt as per taste

2 tbsp ghee desi

1 tsp ginger garlic paste (finely chopped)

3 tomatoes chopped



Wash, clean, and chop the mustard, bathua, and spinach leaves. Cut and prepare the mustard stalks as well.

Add salt, green chilies, and tomatoes to this greens and cook till 2-3 whistles. Remove from heat, release the pressure and let it cool.

Blend the greens in a blender jar.

for tempering

Heat ghee in a pan.

Add ginger and garlic and fry for a minute.

Add chopped tomatoes and cook till they become soft and mushy. Keep mashing them with the back of the spatula.
