Recipe: Make Street Style Chilli Paneer in this way, the taste will leave you licking your fingers!
Chili paneer is a popular Asian main course dish from Indo-Chinese cuisine. In this restaurant-style gravy, fried paneer and vegetables are cooked in a sour, sweet, tangy sauce and served with fried rice and noodles. You can easily make it at home as well and we have brought the recipe for it.
300 grams paneer
1 tsp black pepper powder
3 tbsp cornstarch
2 tbsp oil
¼ tsp salt
3-4 tbsp oil
1 tsp garlic optional
1 inch ginger chopped
8 green chilies sliced
5 spring onions
1 green capsicum
1 red bell pepper
¼ cup spring onions
1-2 tsp tomato ketchup
2 tbsp soy sauce
1 tbsp red Chili sauce
2 tbsp cornflour
100 ml water
½ tsp salt to taste
¼ black pepper
Before frying paneer, we coat it in cornstarch and other spices. Take paneer and cut them into small square pieces.
Take a medium-sized bowl and add paneer to it.
After this, add salt, 1 tsp black pepper powder, and 2-3 tbsp cornflour to it.
Wrap the cheese well in cornflour.
- Heat a pan and add oil to it.
When the oil starts smoking, add paneer pieces one by one and fry till golden brown.
Fry the paneer in a pan till it turns a beautiful golden brown color from all sides.
Keep it aside and prepare for gravy.
For Chili Paneer Gravy
Fry the ingredients for 1-2 minutes and then add chopped ginger and ginger garlic paste.
Mix them well and now add tomato ketchup, soy sauce, red chili sauce, and black pepper sauce to the pan.
Now add 1-2 tbsp cornflour and 100 ml water in a small bowl. Mix it well with a spoon and pour it into the pan. Add salt and black pepper powder to it as per taste.
Cook all the ingredients until it starts thickening like gravy and their color turns dark.
When the gravy becomes thick, slowly add pan-fried paneer to it.
Mix paneer in gravy and cook for 1-2 more minutes.
Sprinkle some spring onions on top and your Chilli Paneer is ready to eat.
- Serve it with schezwan rice, fried rice, or stir-fried noodles and eat hot.
