Recipe - Make Sabudana Khichdi in this way, it is very easy to make
4 cups sago
1 tbsp oil
2 tsp cumin
4 green chillies minced
2 potatoes chopped
1/2 cup peanut
1 tsp sugar
1/3 cup chopped coriander
First of all, wash the sago in running water until it becomes clean. This will get rid of the starch. Then soak it in water for at least 7-8 hours.
Do not soak sago in more water than necessary, because sago becomes very wet. Basically the water level should be the same as that of the sago.
If there is water in the morning, remove it.
Temper cumin seeds in oil and when cumin seeds start crackling, add half chopped coriander leaves and green chilies to it. Fry for a minute.
After this add chopped potatoes and salt. Fry till the potatoes are cooked.
Now add roasted peanut powder and sugar to it. mix well.
Add soaked sabudana. Mix all these well. Do not overcook the khichdi or mix too much during this time. Just cook it for a minute or two.
Check the seasoning and add salt if needed. Garnish with the remaining coriander and lemon juice and mix.
