Recipe: Have you tasted the taste of tamarind rice? Make this easily at home


Have you ever tasted tamarind rice? Otherwise, today we are going to tell you how to make this delicious rice at home. This type of rice is very much liked in South India. 


Required Ingredients:

Rice – Two cups 

Green chilies – Two 

Jaggery – One spoon

Turmeric powder – Half teaspoon

Urad dal – One tablespoon 

Groundnut seeds: Half cup 

Tamarind paste: Four tablespoons

Mustard seeds – One teaspoon

Asafoetida – One pinch

Curry Leaves – Four to five 

dry red chilies – Two 

Salt – as per taste



Method of preparation: 

First of all boil rice in a vessel. Then cool them and add turmeric and salt to them. 

Now heat oil in a pan and fry urad dal and peanuts on medium heat. 

After this, add curry leaves, mustard seeds, green chilies, and red chilies and fry for a while. 

Now mix asafoetida, jaggery, tamarind paste, and salt in the pan. 

When the tamarind mixture becomes thick, add it to the rice

 - in this way your tamarind rice is ready.
